Occupational Wellness

Living Out Your Calling

Occupational wellness is about embracing God’s unique calling for your life within your workspace.

Work is not just about earning a living—it is a place where your gifts, talents, and passions can align with God’s purpose for you.

God has implanted desires in your heart because He intends to fulfill them.

This is how He reveals your life purpose. The first step is delighting in Him:

“Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and He will give you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way, you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly!” Psalm 37:4–5 (TPT)

Find Your Calling

Your calling is already written in your heart—it is for you to discover.

God has given you specific gifts and talents that point toward your purpose. When you live out your calling through your occupation, you experience fulfillment and joy.

As the saying goes, “Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

If you are not living out who you truly are, you are missing the fulfillment God intended for you.

True satisfaction in your work comes when you use your God‑given gifts and talents. The outcome is that you enjoy what you do, because it flows naturally from who you are in Christ.

Discover occupational wellness by living your God‑given calling. Use your gifts and passions to find joy, vision, and true satisfaction in work.

Vision and Purpose

Occupational wellness invites you to reflect:

  • Do you know what your life purpose is?
  • Have you written out your dreams and taken them to the Lord in prayer for His direction?
  • Are you allowing God to shape your vision so that your work becomes an expression of His calling?

Occupational wellness is not about striving—it is about aligning your work with God’s design, finding joy in your calling, and living with purpose every day.

Refirement: A New Season of Purpose

Occupational wellness isn’t only about the work we do during our career years—it’s also about how we embrace the seasons that follow. Too often, retirement is seen as an ending, a slowing down, or even a fading away. But what if we exchanged retirement for refirement?

Refirement is about rekindling passion, rediscovering purpose, and stepping into new opportunities with fresh energy. It’s not the closing of a chapter, but the beginning of a vibrant one where your gifts, wisdom, and creativity can flourish in new ways. For women navigating transitions later in life, refirement means aligning your work—paid or unpaid—with your calling, your values, and the joy of serving others.

Instead of withdrawing, you are invited to reimagine. Instead of winding down, you are encouraged to ignite. Refirement is about living with intention, embracing meaningful projects, and finding fulfillment in ways that honor both your spirit and your season.
